 The best thing is for an adult to watch a video with the child and help them to listen and look and remember. Holly and Ivy for Christmas

 The carol is a 19th century Cornish song and it is another version of the more familiar one "The Holly and the Ivy".
Here is some information from Wikipedia these carols. It seems that there is more to holly and ivy than you may think!

 "The Holly and the Ivy" is an English traditional Christmas carol. The carol contains intermingled Christian and Pagan imagery, with holly and ivy representing Pagan fertility symbols^[1]. Holly and ivy have been the mainstay of English Christmas decoration for church use since at least the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, when they are mentioned regularly in churchwardens’ accounts (Roud 2004). Holly and ivy also figure in the lyrics of the "Sans Day Carol".

This one of the most famous pieces of music ever written, sung by one of the most famous choirs!

Giotto di Bondone (1266/7 – January 8, 1337), better known simply as Giotto, was an Italian painter and architect from Florence in the late Middle Ages. He is generally considered the first in a line of great artists who contributed to the Italian Renaissance. This is a painting called "The Annunciation". It's not such a great reproduction as far as colours go, but you can see the quite impressive colour scheme of the angel's wings! The picture is actually a painting on a wall. Another lovely painting

This lovely picture is called "Girl with a Dove" and it was painted by Picasso. Fortunately he didn't feel that it would look better if the girl's eyes were jammed right together over near her ear, or that she would look nice in bright reds and yellows, separated by strong black lines! This must be one of the few paintings he did that has not only a reasonably realistic image, but also a soft, delicate and fragile quality.  The painting is by Monet, and is named "Cliff Walk at Pourville 1882".
Monet and Matisse were French artists of the 19th/20th century.

 The music is part of a suite named "Bergamasque", written by the French composer Debussy. You can see how the words of Matisse, the painting of Monet and the music of Debussy all combine to bring about a feeling of calm and relaxation.

Youtube videos can now be downloaded to you computer so that you can save them, and listen  any time, anywhere. This is a really useful thing, and provides a simple way of accessing good music easily and without cost. The link above outlines the steps to follow in order to do this....it's very easy.
Here is another link to some really beautiful music....you can get it into your computer, your phone, your anything else, and listen to it whenever things are going pear shaped....very soothing!

Get some good music easily!

You can get plenty of really nice music quite easily. Go to youtube.  In the search box, at the top just type in "Mozart concertos.  . The quiet, peaceful pieces are the 2nd movements of the concertos and symphonies. The other movements are all very nice to listen to but they are not as slow and peaceful.
Let me know if you want any extra help or information about the music. This music is very good for everyone in your family. If you have it playing in the background, it can act as a sort of soother for your feelings. I don't think that it is necessary to pay too much attention to the music if you don't want to. For many people, classical music is a bit of another world, and hard to connect with, but if you can just turn off the TV, radio, whatever, and have this music quietly doing its thing there in your home, it will be a good way to go.
